The only drops of Veuve Clicquot Champagne left last night at the Los Angeles-Berlin Sister City Committee Holiday party, held at Prince Frederic von Anhalt and Princess Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Bel-Air estate, were the ones I dropped in the snow after sabraging a bottle. Yes, you read correctly: the snow! Just watch the video, and you will see that it was real snow.
Thanksgiving is an American tradition. My tradition with Champagne is to sabrage the bottle to open it (en français: sabrer la bouteille). So this past Thursday, before indulging in a turkey, I took my saber and popped the top of a Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut, of GAYOT.com Top 10 Value Champagnes.

They were very emotional seconds this morning on the beach in Santa Monica, when the space shuttle Endeavour made her graceful entrance at 11.51 a.m. for its last voyage. Just listen to the crowd on the video I filmed with my left hand while I was taking photos with my right.
By the end of the year, I will be able to taste chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s cuisine at his new restaurant at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, and even stay at his first boutique hotel: Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace. I can even continue my meal there, as the hotel will offer 24-hour in-room dining service by chef Nobu.

This picture with actor Jérémie Rénier was taken just before I was going to see the movie “Cloclo”, My Way, at the 2012 edition of COLCOA, the French Film Festival in Los Angeles. I was about to discover a superb performance by Rénier reincarnating French singer Claude François on the screen.
You can watch my exclusive video interview with Jérémie Rénier at GAYOT.com’s blog.
