I have to be honest: Towne Food & Drink restaurant owner Armen Shirvanian came up with the idea for this picture, not me. I think it was a good idea, as well as his restaurant. When I first saw it, I wondered why chef Ryan Morrison’s teeth were green. If you look closer, you will see that he is holding a house-made macaron from pastry chef Tamara Davis.
To see more of the new restaurant, located in the Watermarke Tower in downtown Los Angeles, visit the Towne Food & Drink photo gallery.
By the end of the year, I will be able to taste chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s cuisine at his new restaurant at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, and even stay at his first boutique hotel: Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace. I can even continue my meal there, as the hotel will offer 24-hour in-room dining service by chef Nobu.

No, your eyes are not playing tricks on you: I am in a bathtub surrounded by hanging honey bears! Where could I possibly be? At Industriel restaurant in downtown Los Angeles.
Chef Joseph Antonishek has done a great culinary job in this funky place. The restaurant has earned a spot on GAYOT.com’s list of Top 10 New & Notable Los Angeles Restaurants as well as the newly created Top 10 Happy Hour round-up.
View a photo gallery of the décor and the dishes I enjoyed there last week.
We may be behind bars in this photo, but chef Nona Sivley and I are not in jail but at Kerry Simon’s LA Market at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live. Since I was at L.A. Live last night, I could not resist popping in to the kitchen to say hello to her.
Remember Nona? She was the winner of season 8 of “Hell’s Kitchen.” The funny thing is that when I was on the show judging a challenge on episode 8, I compared her to another chef. And she ended up winning the show!
